Flash Foods was formed in 1979 by the founder, J. C. Jones Jr.,
when he consolidated 30 stores into one corporation. It was
headquartered in Alma, Georgia. Since then, the
company has grown to a total of 164 c-stores and 20 Branded
Foods outlets through a combination of acquisitions and
development. The current headquarters is in Waycross, Georgia
and there are over 1500 employees. The two largest
acquisitions over the years were Frazier Oil - which added 20
locations in 1987 and Kwickie Foods in 1991 - with 45 c-stores.
Flash Foods is a member of The Jones Company family of
corporations. One member, Fuel South, supplies the petroleum to
the c-stores. Another, Distribution South, provides a large
portion of the items sold inside the stores. The Jones Company
also provides the maintenance, development support, as well as
environmental compliance.
